HI FAMILY!!!\n\nEarly this morning we got this comment from a woman who was thanking us\nfor a video my husband had done on \"How To Write An Obituary\":\n\n\"Well thanks. I\u2019m writing my sister\u2019s obit right now. So ironic, she hated\nme, now I have to write her obit.A long time ago I had bought a bunch of\nnew clothes but got arrested. She visited me in jail with all MY stuff on.\nI figured she hoped I\u2019d go off, so I didn\u2019t. And now I get ALL her worldly\npossessions.No revenge, but how ironic!\"\n\nI believe far too often UNFORGIVENESS and its unrelenting, toxic power\nbreaks and keeps broken the very ties that bind a family together. Its\nreach can move beyond the grave and even outlast death.  Many times we\nfeel it's better for us to be \"right\" in a situation than to forgive and\nand work to mend those relationships. I've quoted, maybe even over-quoted,\nsomething our First Lady and Pastor shared when she did a teaching on\nforgiveness, which still remains so profoundly relevant today.  She said,\n\"Just because you say you forgive someone, it does not mean that you're\nsaying what they did to you was right.\"  In forgiving you are simply\nreleasing that hold that person has on your life, feelings, emotions,\nthoughts, decisions, etc.\n\nThis woman's comment sadly makes me feel that she may be not only\nmourning, but gloating on getting one over on her sister.  She uses words\nlike: \"Along time ago\", \"All my stuff\", \"Now I get all her worldly\npossessions\".
