HI FAMILY!!! 

Family is something that we have to work at.  It’s not a “given” that just because we are related that we automatically relate.  Quality time has to be spent, proper communication must be a staple, some sacrifices must be made, some values have to be maintained, common ground must be established and it is absolutely imperative that the Lord be the anchor (keeping us from drifting apart), the center (keeping us growing together) and the glue (helping us to forge steadfast relationships and unbreakable bonds).

There may be many times in our families that we have to take inventory of our relationships. What areas are great and what areas could stand for improvement?  Where in the fabric of our family is there a void? Is there an imbalance in communication, quality time, prayer time, spouse special time, lack of intimacy or one on one time with the children?  What areas need mending, supporting, restructuring or overall (overhaul) attention?

Once inventory is complete, begin reconstruction/restoration.  You will find the great treasure that is family as you begin to tear down some unnecessary things, air out, remove, re-frame, restructure,  and replace somethings.  Throughout this journey it may seem like there is total chaos and everything seems like its out of order and in shambles.  But wait for it….  

As we allow the Lord, our Father, to be the Master Builder and Architect, setting the best foundation, framing, supporting, strengthening and building our family dynamic, our families will be able to withstand any attack and forge through any storm.  He will help us all as families to procure the most outstanding results.
