HI FAMILY!!! 
Learning from the generations before is so very vital.  Many times we are spared precious time, energy, heartache and missteps as we open ourselves up to learn from the legacies left, the “roads paved” and insightful counsel given. Along our journey we should also keep in mind that with many of our decisions, actions and stories that our lives are telling, we are framing the generations to come.

Psalm 78:4,6-7 points us to the most important thing to pass down through the generations. Speaking of the Word of our Lord and Father and His great and mighty works, it states, “We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments”

Although we can admit there may be things in our family line we may want to eradicate all together, let us “not hide” this most precious of teachings from the next generation. We must share with them the wonderful things He has done.  Let them grow in the richness of His testimonies and learn to trust in the truth of His Word.  That they may not “forget the works of God”, but “declare it to their children….that they may set their hope in God.”
